Russian torchbearer dies of heart attack in Siberia

Russian torchbearer Vadim Gorbenko, 73, died of a heart attack after running a leg of the Sochi Winter Olympic torch relay in Siberia, Russian media reported on Monday.

Gorbenko, a former Greco-Roman wrestling coach, suffered the heart attack after running in Kurgan on Sunday. He was taken to hospital but died later.

The Sochi Winter Olympics will be held from Feb. 7-23, 2014.
