Chairman of Egypt's Supreme Council of Armed Forces Hussein Tantawi will continue to act as Defense Minister in Prime Minister Hesham Qandil's new cabinet, state TV reported Thursday.

Qandil is set to announce the line-up of the cabinet Thursday.

According to a list published on the state TV, members of Kamal el-Ganzouri's government, including Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr, Finance Minister Momtaz el-Saeid, State Minister for Scientific Research Nadia Zakhari, Insurance and Social Affairs Minister Nagwa Khalil, State Minister for Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, will also keep their posts in the new cabinet.
