U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey from May 31 to June 7, said the State Department late Friday.
During the visit, Clinton will discuss Syria, Iran and green growth with leaders of these countries, it said.
In Denmark, Clinton will participate in the Green Partnerships for Growth, a bilateral initiative to promote green technology through public and private sector partnerships.
In Norway, she will attend a global health conference and discuss with Norwegian officials cooperation in the Arctic, including climate change and sustainable development of untapped resources.
In Sweden, her talks with Swedish officials will focus on green energy, internet freedom, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
She will visit Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan from June 4 to 7 and discuss regional security, democracy, economic development and counterterrorism.
On June 7, she will co-chair the Global Counterterrorism Forum Ministerial in Istanbul, and consult with senior Turkish officials on a range of foreign policy challenges, including Syria and Iran. |
