A gunman dressed all in black opened fire inside a popular mall in New Jersey on Monday night just before closing time, according to officials in Paramus.

Hundreds of law enforcement officials searched the Westfield Garden Stated Plaza Mall shortly after reports of gunfire at around 9:30 p.m.. There are no repots of injuries.

Nearly two hours later, Jim Tedesco, the deputy coordinator of the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management, said he believed the shooter had left the mall.

"The shooter, we believe, has left the mall,"Tedesco said. "We have found…a single shell casing."

Investigators are still weeping the building. "We must make sure that the entire mall is checked, so we are going store by store, floor by floor, to evacuate the people that are in the stores," Tedesco said.

The shooting came just three days after a gunman killed a TSA officer and wounded three other people at Los Angeles International Airport.
