Texas Southern University (TSU) said Wednesday evening that the campus police department has issued an "all clear" for the campus following a reported bomb threat.
However, the university said in its tweet message that all evening classes remain cancelled, and "the university will have normal operations tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 29."
The campus was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after reports of a possible bomb threat. The university said it received the alert from Houston Police Department, and urged all students, faculty and staff to leave campus, including the dorm.
The university, located about 5 km south of downtown Houston, U.S. state of Texas, is one of the largest and most comprehensive public historically black universities in the nation. Established in 1927, the university today has more than 10,000 students enrolled.
