Vietnam exported 705,000 tons of rubber worth over 1 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months of this year, up 11.3 percent in volume but down 9.7 percent year-on-year.

In July, Vietnam earned 173 million U.S. dollars from exporting 122,000 tons of rubber, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade said on Friday.

The country's major rubber export markets in the seven-month period included China, India, Malaysia, Germany and South Korea.

Vietnam shipped abroad nearly 1.4 million tons of rubber valued at roughly 2.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2017, seeing respective year-on-year rises of 11.4 percent and 36 percent.
