Hundreds of people from all walks of life in Fiji on Tuesday gathered at Suva's Albert Park to welcome the visiting Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The British royal couple were earlier welcomed by Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his wife Mary Bainimarama among other Fijian government officials after they arrived at the Nausori International Airport.
After a traditional ceremony, the couple made their way to the state home in Borron House to meet Fijian President Jioji Konrote for a reception. They will later attend a state dinner hosted by Konrote.
This is the couple's first major official tour outside Britain. The tour took them to Australia and will take them to Tonga and New Zealand later.
The 16-day visit to the four Commonwealth nations focuses on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts.
