Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-09-28 09:18

Georgia opened its third international airport Thursday in Kutaisi, where a budget service links Georgia's second largest city with the Ukraine capital Kiev.

Present at the opening ceremony were Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

The budget service is run by Hungary-based Wizz Air, with fares varying from 22 euros (26 U.S. dollars) to 100 euros (129 dollars).

Kutaisi Davit Aghmashenebeli International Airport was previously an air base during the Soviet era.
