Belarus expressed its regrets on Thursday about the politicized approach adopted by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to the evaluation of the recent parliamentary elections in Belarus.
"We regret that the OSCE election observation mission could not divert from politicized approaches in its assessments," Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh told journalists here on Thursday.
Savinykh noted that the OSCE approach has to some extent downgraded its value as an organization that advocates impartiality in the election observation.
"Belarus is thankful to foreign observers, including independent observers from the European countries, who have given an objective evaluation of the parliamentary elections," said the official.
Earlier, the OSCE mission expressed doubts about the correctness of the ballot count procedures in the parliamentary elections in Belarus held on Sunday. |
