An express train linking the Ukrainian capital and the country's largest airport is supposed to be completed next month, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced Thursday.
It would take about 35 minutes to travel between the Boryspil International Airport and the Kiev central railway station on the train and a ticket would cost about 2.8 U.S. dollars, Groysman tweeted.
The prime minister said the construction of the high-speed railway line takes about six months and has cost 20.6 million dollars.
Located 20 km southeast of Kiev, the Boryspil International Airport is the busiest airport in Ukraine, covering about 67 percent of the country's passenger traffic. The airport serves some 10 million Ukrainian and international passengers per year.
Currently, people can only travel between Boryspil and Kiev by automobile, which usually takes more than an hour due to traffic jams.
