Tunisia witnesses remarkable increase in date exports
Tunisian exports of dates gained revenues of 700.8 million dinars (261.2 million U.S. dollars) from October 2017 to July 2018, Tunisian Agriculture Ministry said Tuesday.
It witnessed an increase of 32.6 million dinars compared with last season, the ministry added.
The dates were exported to 80 countries, among which the United States and India registered the biggest increases of 117 percent and 182 percent respectively.
In addition, exports to Spain increased by 49 percent and Morocco by 25 percent.
