Tokyo stocks edge lower in morning
Tokyo stocks edged lower Monday morning.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 19.30 points, or 0.09 percent, from Friday to 21,165.30.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 4.38 points, or 0.27 percent, to 1,591.63.
Precision instrument, services and insurance-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
