CBOT futures lower following week of rally
Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded lower on Monday morning following sharp gains last week.
As of 1618 GMT, the most active March 2019 wheat was down 6 cents at 5.2525 dollars per bushel. March corn was down 0.75 cent at 3.8475 dollars per bushel. January soybeans were down 4 cents at 9.1275 dollars per bushel.
CBOT futures settled more than two percent higher across the board in the week ending December 7, thanks to better-than-expected export sales and hopes that China and the United States would take measures to ease trade tensions.
The upturn lost momentum on Monday morning amid profit-taking and a stronger dollar, while CBOT grains lacked fresh news to further boost their prices, said market watchers. Enditem
