Dozens of protesters on Sunday stormed the headquarter of the Libyan government in the capital Tripoli, demanding health insurance and payment of salaries, a government source said.

"Dozens of protesters of wounded and martyrs families stormed the government's headquarter in central Tripoli, demanding payment of outstanding salaries and medical treatment," the source told Xinhua with anonymity.

The protesters broke the main gate of the headquarter and got inside.

Libyan deputy Prime Minister, Ahmad M'etig, met with the protesters and listened to their demands, the source added.

Local media published images of dozens of protesters holding up signs of their demands in front of the government headquarter and some others were inside the building.

No exact number of wounded and victims in the incident was unveiled.
