Israeli forces arrested 20 Palestinians in the West Bank, including two Palestinian National Authority (PNA) security officers, Palestinian sources said Thursday.
The PNA condemned the raids and the arrests, which took place in the town of Qalqilya.
The Palestinians were taken from their houses early Thursday, including the two policemen, the sources said.
Israel "seeks to undermine the PNA by continuing its incursions and detentions against civilians and members of the security apparatus," said Ghassan Al-Khatib, spokesperson of the government in the West Bank.
"By weakening the PNA, Israel aims at destroying the two-state solution," he added. |
