Spain's July unemployment falls to lowest level since 2008
The number of people registered as unemployed in Spain fell to the lowest level in July since 2008, according to data published on Thursday by the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security.
Spain has a total of 3.135 million unemployed people, the lowest figure since December 2008 when the financial crisis started and caused high unemployment rates.
On a month-to-month basis, unemployment fell by 27,141 people especially thanks to the tourist peak season.
Unemployment fell by 16,179 people from June to July in the services sector, while decreasing by 4,172, 2,650 and 571 people in the industry, construction and agriculture sectors respectively.
