Canadian stock market ends lower Monday

Canada's main stock market closed lower Monday as weakness in health-care weighed on the entire market.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index dropped 57.4 points, or 0.37 percent, to finish the day at 15,459.19 points

The Canadian dollar lost 0.13 cents to 0.76.33 U.S. dollar.

Out of the health-care group, Canopy Growth Corporation plunged 10.6 percent to 54.84 Canadian dollars while Aurora Cannabis tumbled 11.8 percent 11.48 Canadian dollars.

Among gold stocks Barrick Gold lost 11 cents to 17.18 Canadian dollars while Goldcorp dropped 46 cents to 13.81 Canadian dollars.

In the resource stock sector, Agnico Eagle Mines fell 1.9 percent to 47.61 Canadian dollars.

Tech stocks led gaining stocks as Constellation Software added 2.7 percent to 909.78 Canadian dollars while BlackBerry rose 1.6 percent to 12.42 Canadian dollars.

In the industrial sector, Bombardier climbed nine cents to 3.73 Canadian dollars while Magna International gained 24 cents to 62.55 Canadian dollars.
