Canada's main stock market dropped Monday due to decreasing technology stocks and gold prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index fell 118.04 points, or 0.77 percent, to close the day at 15,156.40 points.
The Canadian dollar eased 0.24 cent to 0.7555 U.S. dollar.
On the market,73 issues rose and 170 fell. There were four new highs and 23 new lows, with total volume of 240.8 million shares.
The energy group fell 1.98 points, or 1.20 percent, while the financials sector slipped 1.66 points, or 0.57 percent.
BlackBerry fell 3.1 percent to 11.90 Canadian dollars while Shopify dropped 3.6 percent to 179.55 Canadian dollars.
Gold stock ended lower as Barrick declined 2.2 percent to 16.72 Canadian dollars while Kinross Gold was down 1.9 percent to 3.35 Canadian dollars.
The most heavily traded shares by volume were Aurora Cannabis Inc, Bombardier Inc. and Aphria Inc.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. fell 1.71 percent to 9.20 Canadian dollars on 29.3 million shares.
Bombardier Inc. dipped 5.66 percent to 2.50 Canadian dollars on 22.6 million shares.
Aphria Inc. jumped 9.5 percent to 14.96 Canadian dollars on 6.2 million shares.
