Dollar trades above 98 yen in early Tokyo market

The U.S. dollar traded slightly above 98 yen on Wednesday morning in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 98.13-18 yen compared with 98.16- 26 yen in New York and 97.73-74 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro was quoted at 1.3265-3267 dollar and 130.17-19 yen against 1.3258-3268 dollar and 130.23-33 yen in New York and 1. 3293-3294 dollar and 129.92-96 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
