Dollar hovers over 97 yen line in early Tokyo

The U.S. dollar hovered over 97 yen line in early Tokyo trade market on heavy stock losses.

At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 97.06-08 yen compared with 97.32- 42 yen in New York and 97.90-91 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro was quoted at 1.3349-3351 dollars and 129.58-61 yen against 1.3342-3352 dollars and 129.93-130.03 yen in New York and 1.3290-3291 dollars and 130.11-15 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
