Dollar trades in upper 97 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 97 yen range early Monday morning in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 97.67-69 yen, compared with 97.47-57 yen in New York and 97.34-35 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.

The euro fetched 1.3328-3330 dollars and 130.17-21 yen against 1.3325-3335 dollars and 130.10-20 yen in New York and 1.3343-3344 dollars and 129.88-92 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
