Dollar changes hands in lower 111 yen zone in early Tokyo trading

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 111 yen zone early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 111.16-17 yen compared with 111.17-27 yen in New York and 110.69-71 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.1643-1645 dollars and 129.43-45 yen against 1.1638-1648 dollars and 129.44-54 yen in New York and 1.1727-1728 dollars and 129.81-85 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
