Tunisia's inflation rate stabilized at 7.5 percent in August, unchanged from July, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS) Thursday.

The inflation rate rose from 6.9 percent in January to 7.1 percent in February, then climbed to 7.6 percent in March, and 7.7 percent in April and May, INS said.

The stabilized rate in August is explained by food prices down to 7 percent from 8.3 percent, housing services up to 6 percent from 4.9 percent, and transport prices up to 12.2 percent from 11 percent in July. Enditem
