German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 125.82 points, or 1.07 percent, to close at 11,589.21 points.
Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement lost the most among the blue chips, down by 9.59 percent, followed by multinational software corporation SAP and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, which lost 6.54 percent and 4.93 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde, marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom were the top three winners, rising 2.18 percent, 0.63 percent and 0.59 percent respectively.
SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 658.58 million euros (757.36 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
